We LOVE Candy!

We've been wanting to take of factory tour of the Sweet's Candy Co. in Salt Lake. So Dustin just scheduled us a tour and we went. The kids were really good. It was something we could all enjoy and it was FREE... except for all the candy we bought at the end....which was a good deal of course.

Palmer Family Reunion

Here are some scrapbook pages of our Palmer Family Reunion that took place over the July 24th weekend. I wish I would have gotten pictures of our closing awards ceremony. Tallie did such a great job with the little trophy's, medals, and treats. Everyone provided excellent meals! We have no problem eating well at these gatherings. It was a good time. Bre's Birthday Party

On Thursday July 17th we celebrated Breanna's 5th birthday. We had it in the evening. It was a pizza and pool party. She had a My Little Pony cake and got lots of My Little Pony presents. Everything else was "princess" stuff. We had a good party and are thankful for all who came.

Provo Peak Hike

Check out the "J" trees. They grow this way as a result of all the snow pack that is on them while they are young.

Dustin and Nick left at 5:30 am on Saturday the 12th to Hike to Provo Peak. They drove part way up and still had a 3 hour hike to the summit. The camra batteries died when they were at the summit so Dustin didn't get as many summit pictures as he wanted. He said it was really cold at the top, but they were fine as long as they were hiking. Dustin got to use his new fancy camel back pack that has the hose so you can suck on your water hands free while your hiking. He really likes it. It always makes me nervous when he goes hiking because hikers die in these canyons every year. I know he is smart and careful but ya never know what's going to happen. I have to admit it was cool when he called me from the summit and I could look out my window at the view of the mountains and realize he is clear up there (though I couldn't see the peak exactly because it is behind other mountains) and we are able to have a conversation.! I think it's amazing. Anyhow, kids are distracting me. Hope you enjoy these pics.

Leia the Cheetos Girl

Ok, this layout was really quick to do. I was dying to try this technique of letting only select color show through to highlight it. I think it turned out pretty good. I've got some other ideas in mind to try it with. Hope ya like it.

Check out this CUTIE!

I just love this little toothless smile she has right now. We took these pictures right after she pulled out her other front tooth. Soon those big ol' adult teeth will grow in and then she'll look awkward for a while. Baby teeth are so cute! I guess my little girl is growing up.

Grandma Garrett Came to Visti Us

Grandma came to visit us from California. This was just before we went out there. I know it's out of order but I just got this page done last. Wish we would have gotten more pictures but I am glad that I got a picture of her with her brother Jim.

Our Trip to California

Oh it's been so long since I've done a post that I have almost forgotten how. We took a trip to California over Memorial weekend. It was kind of a last minute decision based on an opportunity for Dustin to meet a company he is now doing business with. We were able to deliver some product as well as pick up a full load from them. We stayed with my sister, Christa, who had just moved into a new house. We were excited to see it. We got to spend Sunday visiting with family. We went to my mom and dad's place up in the hills. The kids loved seeing all their animals. We also got to visit with my two brothers, but I didn't get any pictures of that. On Monday Dustin took Levi, cousin Jordan and Bre to the Train Museum in Old Sacramento, while Christa and I took the other girls and went shopping. The drive back was extra long because we had to do all our business in Sacramento first Tuesday morning and then drive home so it made for a 14 hour trip in the truck. The kids handled it pretty well. I thought it would be worse, but we survived. So that is what these couple of scrapbook pages are all about.
