Grandma Garrett Came to Visti Us

Grandma came to visit us from California. This was just before we went out there. I know it's out of order but I just got this page done last. Wish we would have gotten more pictures but I am glad that I got a picture of her with her brother Jim.

Our Trip to California

Oh it's been so long since I've done a post that I have almost forgotten how. We took a trip to California over Memorial weekend. It was kind of a last minute decision based on an opportunity for Dustin to meet a company he is now doing business with. We were able to deliver some product as well as pick up a full load from them. We stayed with my sister, Christa, who had just moved into a new house. We were excited to see it. We got to spend Sunday visiting with family. We went to my mom and dad's place up in the hills. The kids loved seeing all their animals. We also got to visit with my two brothers, but I didn't get any pictures of that. On Monday Dustin took Levi, cousin Jordan and Bre to the Train Museum in Old Sacramento, while Christa and I took the other girls and went shopping. The drive back was extra long because we had to do all our business in Sacramento first Tuesday morning and then drive home so it made for a 14 hour trip in the truck. The kids handled it pretty well. I thought it would be worse, but we survived. So that is what these couple of scrapbook pages are all about.

On April 17 we went to Arches National park for the last part of Spring Break. The weather was perfect that Thurs and Fri. We did all the little hikes that the kids could handle. The views were amazing. We hiked all Thurs afternoon. Then went to Moab where we stayed in a Motel. We ended up eating dinner at Pizza Hut which we will not do again until the kids are older. Way too long of a wait for the food and nothing for the kids to do. Also very loud and crowded. Staying in a tiny hotel room with 4 little kids is insane. Kids wouldn't settle down until late. Leia cried in the night and was confused. I was worried and couldn't get any sleep. It was one of those nights where I saw every hour on the clock go by. So after no sleep we decided that one night of that was enough. We hiked and saw all the rest of the things that we wanted to on Friday and then headed back for home. We stopped in Green River and tried to have a nice lunch at the Tamarisk Restaurant. We got home Friday evening which turned out to be a real blessing because Saturday I woke up as sick as could be. I was fevering and my tonsil flared up huge. I felt like I had been run over by a truck. It was not good, but I was so glad to be home and not on the road. Well I guess that is what I get for not getting any sleep the night before. I don't know. I was totally down on Sat and Sunday sick in the ditch and then Monday I was getting stronger and better. I had to get better! There was so much to do! The kids , the payroll, the house, the laundry. I am still glad that we went on the this little trip though. Just look at those cool pictures! It was a good time.

Easter

Here are some of the Easter pages I've been working on. I will also put one up of the kids in their Easter Sunday Clothes. We were so fortunate to have good weather that weekend so that we could have the traditional outdoor Easter Egg Hunt. The kids enjoyed it. By the the next weekend it was all cold and snowy again. I love the spring colors. My tulips are starting to come up and soon it will be time to plant new flowers. Can't wait.

New Haircuts

I decided to cut Bre and Addie's Hair all by myself. They like it and I think they turned out pretty cute. However, little Bre came home from school and said "Mom, everyone keeps saying that I cut my hair and I keep having to tell them, NO, MY MOM CUT IT, NOT ME! She is so funny.

Leia is an official walking toddler.

Leia was known as the baby who wouldn't use her legs. Well, she has finally caught on and decided that walking is fun. She is such a cutie as she literally toddles all around. She just looks so much older than my other girls did at this age because of all that hair! Even though it took her this long to walk, she is still growing up too fast.
