Easter Crafts

This is the basket craft that I am getting ready for Addie's 3rd grade class to do for their Easter party on Friday.  They always call me to do a craft.  I didn't want it too girly because there are mostly boys in Addie's class.  I am going to have them fill a plastic egg with jelly beans to put in it too.  I just love that little chick!  He is so cute!  I saw him on a card I liked.  It's all just punch art and simple enough that the kids can put together.  

Joy is not in things, it is in us.

I did these pages a while ago to put in a large frame I made for our newly redone downstairs living area.  These are the colors of the room.  These are just some of my favorite pictures of 2009.

Chicago

Dustin was in Chicago from the 12th to the 17th.  He has been going to the Housewares show there for the past 5 years as a buyer.  However, this is the first year that we have exhibited there with our Victorio Kitchen Products line.  He says it was very successful.  It is so neat to see something you've worked on come to fruition and become recognized.  He is pictured there with his dad, Craig, and sister, Marcie and her husband, Jaris.  Dustin really wanted me to come but I just couldn't leave the kids that long.  Perhaps next year I'll be ready.

The Message

This is a wonderful book that my husband and I just read. I highly recommend it. It's Lance Richardson's life after death experience. He was in an accident and then his health failed and he ended up in a comma for several weeks and during that time he was permitted to go beyond and visit the spirit world. He is a young father from Idaho with six boys and a little girl. It's one of those books you can't put down and want to read in one sitting. We started it yesterday and finished it today. It really confirms many of the truths we have hoped are true. My husband took it with him on his trip but if any of you want to borrow it after next week, let me know.

Longing for SPRING...

This is what it looks like outside my window today. After a mostly lovely nearly warm week we are thrust back into the throws of winter. However, inside we are not going to let that stop us. We are decorating for SPRING!

Flashback!!

I've been scanning in old photos today and found this classic 1976 photo of me with my mom and younger sister, Kim. Pretty crazy, huh? Well, I've got the family history bug again. I have been working on writing up a life story of my dad to share with my siblings. I've been doing the New Family Search and have found more family on my dad's side through Ancestry.com. It is awesome! Dustin and I are getting a bunch of family names so we can all go do baptisms. We are so excited about that. I suppose everyone will be getting into their family history after the new show on NBC premieres called "Who Do You Think You Are" where they have celebrities go through a family history journey and find out where they came from and crazy stuff about their ancestors. I guess it's good to have the media doing something on the positive side. So horray for technology!

I was so surprised today to get flowers sent to me by my hubby! He really does love me! I am so lucky. Happy Valentines Day Everyone!

One Thing We Take For Granted...

BREATHING!!!

This is me coughing my guts out. I am so tired of being sick! My asthma is so aggrivated. It's so hard to breath. I cough and cough until I throw up. I can't get much sleep at night. Everyday I have a little hope that it's getting better and I get along then by evening it gets worse and worse and starts all over. I've been sick for over 2 weeks now and I'm sorry but I just need to vent and complain.

A House Made of Sticks???

I found that one of my baskets was being ruined by little Leia. She kept picking off the sticks and has made a huge hole in it. I find this pile of sticks and I asked her why she was doing this and she says, "But Ma ma I have to build my house of sticks like the little pig!" Well, I had to laugh and couldn't be so mad at her anymore.
