Six Posts in One...Quick Catch Up

We just couldn't stay away from Disneyland.  We had another business opportunity or excuse to go down there and we took it.  We went in Nov just before Thanksgiving. They had just decked the hall for Christmas and it was so neat.  I think we have had our fill of the most magical place on earth for a while now.

 Happy Birthday Adeline!
Addie turns 11.  What a beautiful young women she is becoming!
Thanksgiving: didn't get very many good pictures cause I was under the weather that day.
 Making lots of Christmas cards!
I saw these elf shoes idea and had to make some.
 Playing reindeer with our friends!
My budding artist!  Addie did a famous American presentation on the artist Georgia O'Keefe.  Addie painted those flowers inspired by this artist.  She did great on her oral report!

Levi's Project

For one of Levi's classes he had to choose a community service project to do.  He choose to make extra large fleece blankets to donate to The Children's Justice Center. It's a home-like center where kids and families can disclose information that are involved in various types of abuse cases.  Sometimes they have to have a medical exam as well.  They like to give them a blanket or something of comfort after going through the investigation/disclosure process.   Levi has helped me to tie the blankets before but not prep and cut them.  So I showed him what to do and he did them all by himself.  I am so proud of him. He really does a great job.

He made these 3 blankets.

We love these new pancake creators. Dustin and I saw these at Houseware's show last March and now they have them at Maceys!  They are so fun.  To see more info goto: http://www.pancakecreator.com/pc/

Lego bricks candy in honor of the boy who loves Legos!

We played our traditional "hot and cold" game to find his presents all throughout the house.  We went out to Chuck A Rama for dinner (kids favorite choice) and watched our new DVD of Cars2.  I can't believe he is 13 now!

Moustache Monday

It's easy to do.  Just unwrap those left over tootsie rolls and soften them in the microwave, shape and then harden in the fridge for a few minutes.  Play, eat, enjoy!

Color My World

How can one little box of colored chalk be so much fun?

This "Prang" colored chalk is the best alternative to face paint.  You just dip it in water and paint away. It washes off soooo easily!!!  Leia got to do this every Friday in her preschool class.  Did I mention how easily it washes off...no stains on your wash cloths or clothes.  The girls were so excited that I got it.  As you can see they had a lot of fun. Addie was the main face painting artist. This will definitely come in handy for Halloween.

Bricks?

As some of you know, we are trying to build out our back hillside so we allow people to dump their green waste there.  Well not long ago someone scattered some bricks across our back hill which was ok.  They had asked.  However, as Leia looked out our window and she said, "Who put those bricks on our back hill?"  We said, "I don't know. Who do you think did it?"  Her response, "It was the 3rd little pig!"   Well, of course.
